Senators backing a springs bill say there still is hope for the legislation to pass both chambers despite lack of movement on the House companion bill.

SB 1576 would require the setting of minimum flows for springs and require remediation plans that could involve hooking up homes on septic tanks to sewer systems. The bill has passed two of its three committee stops.
